If you want true protection for your fork uppers, these are the way to go. The material is substantial and will hold up to direct hits in the rocks. Several of my buddies are running carbon ones that are thin and would really only protect against abrasion and light hits. They were stoked to see how thick the Crosslinked units were and a couple of them have already ordered them after seeing mine. Great product at a great price.
